Does anyone know if there is a way to know if a phone is on a call versus on Do Not Disturb with a BLF?
When employees leave they put their phones on DND which lights a BLF on the operator panel. When they are on a call the operator panel looks the same way and therefore the operator cannot make a distinction between out of office versus on the phone.
We are using 57i phones and maybe there is some way visually tell these two apart. Maybe the light could be red but the phone icon on screen could be on the hook for DND and the light be red and the phone icon be off hook for on a call.
I have also heard that there might be an XML script somewhere that works the same as a BLF and I am wondering if it might include this functionality?
