Lost Admin Password + aastraonline.com forum

Hi,

I recently brought 5 'nearly' new Aastra 53i phones from eBay. They are in good condition, but after plugging them in and trying to configure them I found the default admin password has been changed from '22222'. I emailed the seller, and he's trying to find out what the password is, but just in case he can't find it, is there a way to reset the admin password back to default? If you open the phones up, is there a battery inside that can be removed and put back in, like wiping the cmos on PC?

Also, has anyone managed to successfully register on the Asstra Online forums at aastraonline.com? I've tried creating an account, using both hotmail, and my company email, but I never receive an activation email. I've checked the junk mail folders, and have added the domain to a whitelist, but checking the incoming SMTP logs doesn't show any emails as coming from aastraonline.com or with any relevant subject.

Cheers

Ben

The factory reset procedure

The factory reset procedure is in the administrators manual. I don't have it committed to memory, but it is there.

Factory reset procedure

SkykingOH is right the factory default procedure is described in the phone admin guide but here it is.

During the phone boot press and hold the "1" and "#" key on the keypad, this wipes out the "application" and all its configuration, the phone displays a url to point to to reload a new firmware with all the default configuration. You just need a TFTP (or HTTP) server with the right .st file.
