New To trixbox with a Aastra endpoint question

I have 4 hours experience so far with trixbox and have a simple question about endpoints. I have 25 Aastra 67XX series phones that I need to attach to trixbox. Phones in the 67 series did not come up on the endpoint phone selection dropdown. All the other Aastra models were there. So I went to the packages screen and checked the two Aastra boxes, one for firmware 2.6.0-2 and the other for scripts 2.3.0-1 and then selected install. Now they are at the top and listed as installed. But, the 67xx series phones still don’t appear in the endpoint configuration dropdown. I even tried rebooting the trixbox server, still no Aastra 67 series.

I know nothing about trixbox so if I am overlooking something rudimentary, please kindly point me in the proper direction.

I am using trixbox 2.8.0.4

Thank You,

Gregg

You need to install the

You need to install the Aastra-XML scripts, they auto provision the phones. The end point manager is not needed.

In the future please start a new thread with your question. Posting on an existing thread is considered hijacking.

Help!

Hi there,

I'm also fairly new to trixbox, but I believe my question is directly relevant to this firmware release.

I've got the scripts setup and the phones pulled new firmware and auto-provisioned correctly. Everything works GREAT! One problem.

With Visual Voicemail, I'm able to play, delete, etc without issue. When I leave voicemail however, the phone still shows the messages as "there". The LED also stays on indicating waiting messages. When I go back into VV, no messages are there. (So deleting IS working). Exit to main screen, still shows the messages I deleted earlier waiting.

All my phones are 6757i's and they all do the same thing.

I'm sure it's just a buggy scripting thing. Can someone point me in the right direction. (Is there a way to specify how often the phones poll for message notifications or some such thing?) Does anyone else have this issue?

Thanks.

Re: petranator voicemail configuration

Hello,

As detailed in the documentation, you must make sure that the Asterisk voicemail has polling configured, the "check_install" should have warned you (maybe you did not run it?). To do this you have to edit the voicemail configuration file "/etc/asterisk/voicemail.conf" or one of its included file and uncomment:

pollmailboxes=yes
pollfreq=30

and then restart asterisk via the CLI.
This will allow the Asterisk voicemail to check every 30s if the voicemail repo has been changed outside of the the regular voicemail. That should do the trick.

Also in order to keep an efficient forum, you should have used the thread for the XML scripts or create a new one with your question. We are glad to here that you like the scripts.
