Preventing "paging" screen to appear

One of the most annoying aspect of Aastra phones (I use 9480i and 9143i) is the fact that when a page is made (using multicast or SIP with auto-answer), the phone' screen changes.

If you start dialing while onhook, you loose the dialed digits once the paging screen goes away. If you go offhook, you won't loose what you are dialing but cannot see anything until the "paging screen" goes away.

I even upgraded the phone to 3.2.0.1011 and setup "incoming call cancels dialing" to 0 but still get this annoying screen.

Was hoping someone had an idea on how to block the screen from changing. Maybe using XML API somehow but haven't yet had much luck. Any ideas out there?

Thanks.

Allow BargeIn

Well, the "allow barge in" feature only affects an actual call and it is already disabled on my setup.

The phone's display will still change regardless. What I was thinking was to trigger an XML API for the "Incoming Call" Event so it prevents (if that can be possible) the display from changing.

Thanks anyway,

Benoit.
