Hello all,

I am trying to provision my ip320 polycom phone, but obviously I cannot !
Trixbox 2.6.2.1
asterisk 1.4.22-3
firmware-polycom 3.0.1-2

Firtly,I had installed the previous firmware-polycom but I had some errors in trixbox and I installed the latest version.

I followed the tutorial: http://www.sureteq.com/asterisk/polycom.htm#5.%C2%A0_Polycom_conf...

I have searched in google and here... and now I am really confused

I have an extension in my freepbx. i run "setup-polycom". I went to endpoint manager and i add the mac of phone to corresponded user.
I have the files to /tftpboot and /home/polycom
my_mac.cfg
my_macreg.cfg
sip.ld
sip.cfg
server.cfg
bootrom.ld
sip.ver
(what about permissions of the above files?)
cat /var/log/messages
......
trixbox1 dhcpd: dhcpd startup succeeded
......

I appreciate If someone can help me.
Thank you..

Can you give more detail?

What happens? Does the phone not register? Does the phone not get the config from the server? Can the phone reach the server? Have you tried a local TFTP server on your laptop or similar to see if it is the phone of the TFTP server?

Have you set the provisioning server address in the phone admin menu?

There are a few things you

There are a few things you need to do to get a polycom phone provision by endpoint manager:
1 set boot server on the phone to tftp
2 set the correct boot server ip address in the dhcp server e/etc/dhcpd.conf
3 run setup-polycom and choose the correct interface

You will have to privide more detail for us to be able to help you out.

problem solved

Thanks a lot for your replies...

I downloaded again the files and I did not use this time endpoint manager...
I kept the same dhcpd.conf file and followed the instructions of another link in trixbox-forum

o Go to the Polycom site and load the correct bootrom and firmware
o Copy the files from the Polycom package to the ftp server
o Boot the phone without a network connection
o Configure the ftp information in the phone
o connect the phone to the network in step 1
o phone will boot, connect to FTP server and load the software
o When done flashing delete ftp settings in phone, set back to tftp
o reboot phone

after this my polycom (soundpoint ip 320) worked!
