E1 line configuration

I have a TRixbox CE box.

We have just procured an E1 line with 30 lines. + 234-09-4603130 to 094603159 from a local Telco.

The line has been provisioned via a fibre optics cable to our office and plugged into our Sangoma A102 Card.

I have ran the setup command for the sangoma card to align with the service providers configuration, but they cannot see my box.

We did a loop test to confirm the availability of the link and the result was good.

Can you advice me on the steps to setup the lines and make my first call.

Hi,

On and E1 there is only a few options, that can change. So when you run Setup-sangoma just simply select E1, then when it asks about the framing and line coding the line coding will not change but the framing can be ether "NCRC4" or "CRC4" so check with the telco or try both. Then you have the clocking and this is always NORMAL when connecting to the telco. Next you have the signaling and this will always be PRI-CPE which is the first option. Then the next question you have the switch type, now on E1 you can only have "EuroISDN" or "Q.SIG"; now almost all lines are "EuroISDN" so you can almost for sure select this. Next it will ask for hardware DTMF, say yes to this option. Then next it will ask for fax detection, since you have DID's enabled which you will be routing with them rather then trying to detect if it is a fax to route then say no to this option. Then the last option is it will ask you if it is a full E1; this depends on how many channels you've ordered from the telco.

E1 Line configuration

My Sangoma card is up and running, I need assistance to assign the E1 phone numbers to the trixbox and be able to make my external calls.
