- Went into the freepbx web GUI, installed the kernel-devel packages

- On the server: asterisk -r, stop now, amportal stop now, shutdown -r now

- Then PBX Settings, Module admin, check for updates, download all, upgrade all, process

- confirm, return, apply

- On the server: asterisk -r, stop now, amportal stop now, shutdown -r now

- pbx settings, add extension + ftp into the server to put the configs for the Polycom 501.... Polycom success.

- - On the server: asterisk -r, stop now, amportal stop now, shutdown -r now

- Download latest RPMS for wanpipe(modules+util) launched the setup....

- Trunk/wanpipe/dahdi wont appear/work

Do you guys have any clue???

Not sure about the Sangoma

Not sure about the Sangoma A200.
I bought a Sangoma B700 and have been waiting for a (BRI-compatible) RPM for 2 months now.
Kind of frustrating...
My system is ready to go (Trixbox 2.8.0), everything is set...except for the BRI.

I will wait another 2 weeks and then I will trash the Sangoma B700 ;-)

Ciao
Reinhard

Why would you trash the

Why would you trash the card? there are other distros out there with more to offer that support what you are looking for.

Well, I am happy with

Well, I am happy with Trixbox 2.8.0
I can manage different time groups (holidays, special office hours for about 60 days/year) using the WebGUI.
I like IVRs, Anouncements, Ring Groups, ...

Of course, there are some problems.
CDR doesn`t work at all. Actually, I don`t understand why nobody is posting a workaround. This can`t be such a big problem. Did I miss the posting?
FOP is crashing. My solution to the problem...finally...was that I deleted FOP. Don`t need it anyway.
I like sophisticated endpoints, so I decided to use Cisco 7975 phones with the BLF feature. This is the main reason, why I use Asterisk 1.6!
It was a pain in the ass to configure it, but now everything seems to work.
Actually, I spent so much time to configure Trixbox and Ciscos...that I don`t want to try a new distro.

I just need something to connect Trixbox to European ISDN...
It seems Sangoma is having major problems with DAHDI. Hope they find a solution soon.
Actually I think they already uploaded a new driver. Just want to wait for the RPM...to be sure not to mess my system up ;-)

I've been running elastix

I've been running elastix with sangoma cards for a while now. it works flawlessly. They have zero problems with sangoma and dahdi support, and you can do everything on elastix, or pbx in a flash etc that you can do on trixbox.

And just as important,

And just as important, elastix provides you with, count them, TWO methods to backup your pbx!b

Hi Marc, just one question

Hi Marc,

just one question regarding the B700 and wanpipe.
On your homepage it says your current wanpipe (rpm) has no bri support.
I need bri!
Should I go with the beta driver? Is it stable?
ftp://ftp.sangoma.com/linux/current_wanpipe/current-beta.tgz
and use this tutorial?
http://wiki.sangoma.com/wanpipe-linux-asterisk-dahdi#config

Thanks
Reinhard

Hi Reinhard, I have checked

Hi Reinhard,

I have checked with our engineers and they are experiencing some issues with the RPM build. They are working together with Fonality to get this building issue resolved. Once the rpms are finished they will be posted online at http://wiki.sangoma.com/wanpipe-asterisk-trixbox-rpms.
