GXP-2020 and Line Ring Order

Since I am in front of my computer almost 24/7 nowadays, the smallest things start to get annoying with this particular phone. I have managed to get rid of EVERY single annoyance with this neat little phone, except for ONE.

I am set up to use the first 4 lines on a single extension (business), so they are all set up identically. The last 2 lines are both set up to utilize a different extension (personal), which in turn uses a different trunk. This is how I keep my personal calls separated from my business calls. This all works fine and dandy.

The thing that has been annoying me is that when I get an incoming call on either my business line OR my personal line, the LAST line in the group rings... So, to put it in perspective: I am NOT on the phone. Someone calls me on my business line, and the phone rings saying that I have a call coming in on line 4. Should the lines ring in order? Line 1, then 2, so on and so forth?

Don't get me wrong, the phone WORKS GREAT, but it's the small things in life...

I am guessing that this is not a problem with the phone, but moreso with trixbox and the last extension registered. Since the GXP-2020 has six lines and they register in order (1, then 2, then 3, ...) that trixbox sends the call to the last registration of an extension. Since my line 4 would be the last registration of that extension, line 4 rings first.

Make sense? Any way to fix this?

TIA!

Mike

This makes sense but I doubt

This makes sense but I doubt you'll ever get it fixed unless you convince grandstream or digium(asterisk) to work something up for you. I doubt they will.
