I just looked on Grandstream's website, and they list the latest firmware version being 1.2.1.4. But my phone which is updated using Trixbox's TFTP is 1.1.6.46. Is there a reason why it is so out of date?

Fonality to not spend any time checking the new firmware for the Grandstream products.
Just download the latest release from the Grandstream site and dump it in your tftp folder.
v1.2.2.19 is the latest and we are using it on about 300 handsets without any issues.
If there are any issues or new features you would like to have then you can open a case directly with Grandstream support.
