Rhino Analog Sound Problem

Hi all,

I need some advice. I have been in touch with Rhino but I am looking for some other input.

I am installing my first analog card for trixbox 2.6 and I have sound problems. The rx & tx gains are at 0. The volume is coming in to low. I have increased it to 8 and it seems louder but it adds in line noise. When I call the rhino number just to hear a recording and talk over her voice I hear echo and the her voice is cut out or its choppy and breaking up. I have decreased my txgain and that helps a little but the problem is still there only not as loud.

Now here is the thing. I have taken an analog phone and plugged it into the dial line and made the same call. Everything sounds great. Calling it over through the trixbox/rhino card I have above sound issues. I am using an Aastra 9480i in the trixbox.

I have also done the ztmonitor with calling milliwatt test lines for getting my rxgains correct but I am just not happy with the sound quality.

Any advice in helping would be great. I would like it to sound as good as plugging a cheap analog phone into the dial line directly.
