Greetings!

I have the 9133i phones and cannot seem to get rid of the No Service message.

I have followed the setup for auto provisioning for these phones-
downloaded the aastra package
set the proxies and registrar IP's etc...
entered the MAC in end point manager
setup the ext. in trixbox etc...
set the secret passwords and took them off, etc..
In the panel it does show the phone is online
but the phone still shows the no service message with red light.

any ideas on what i'm missing?
Thanks!
T

Backup your current config

Backup your current config (/tftpboot) in case you are trying to achieve something there. Then delete aastra.cfg and start from scratch, reset the phones to default (easily done in phone webpage):

1. Set option 66 on your dhcp server to point to your trixbox ip.
2. Install aastra firmware and xml services from the package manager (which looks like you got down)
3. Run setup-aastra at the prompt
4. Plug in phones
5. Click "Go" in the endpoint manager to start scanning your phones - assign freepbx ext.
I find it best to always go back to "Go" to add new phones.
6. reboot phones - done.

Now once they are working work from here to add the features you desire.

If you reset a password in freepbx simply click the phone mac in the endpoint manager and click submit for it to regenerate the config - I find I make most of my mistakes when editing by hand ;)

AAstra 9133i

Thanks for the reply-

I have done this - only I set the phones with static IP's (100 - 124) which relates to the ext. numbers

Will try again, but mean time, any other thoughts if this fails again?
Thanks!

Solution for "No Service"

This is a registration timeout message, the solution is to set the SIP registration times to never expire.

For example, Aastra 480i

Go to -> Global SIP

Under the = Basic SIP Network Settings

Registration Period = 0

Under the = Advanced SIP Settings

Registration Failed Retry Timer = 1
Registration Timeout Retry Timer = 120
Registration Renewal Timer = 0

Let me know if this helps...
