Aastra, XML scripts and remote access

Recently purchased the 57i and love the phone and Ethans/Aastra XML scripts........way to go. Have a kind of a dilemma in using these scripts at customer site since they are only programmable/accessible from Web GUI and not endpoint manager (please correct me if I'm wrong). I'm guessing I can manually configure these in aastra/config files somewhere but I am looking for the easiest and quickest way to deploy them.

Example: Customer has a phone programmed on site and wants to change a button. I am out in the field, no access to their LAN, TB behind Firewall, I never allow access to port 80. So my dumb question is: can I use Putty for example, SSH into TB, tunnel to localhost, lookup IP address of specific phone in endpoint manager and access Web GUI? I have tried this and my endpoint manager is blank. I'm sure it's something simple and obvious I am missing. I am able to access all other services from localhost.

EDIT: One more thing which could be related. Is there a way for my client to easily access the ARI from remote location without having to SSH into TB and without opening port 80?

Thanks all.

vpn

Why not use a VPN to solve both your problems? Probably the easiest way. Firewall appliances we install support VPN connections.

first question - use

first question - use aastra.cfg
2nd question:
1. open ports, and use source based ACL on router
2. use vpn
3. use rdp
4. use logmein

there are several solutions, but your criteria are pretty limiting.
