After "install-hudlite" and "reboot -n"... yesterday that worked fine, HUD was working.
Today, after a "yum -y update" Hud doesn't work again.

Steps I did:

install-hudlite
reboot -n
/etc/init.d/ircd start

Said... Starting ircd: OK

Started Hudlite, entered the appropriate info: user:sip101, pass:101, port:6600, etc...and still... "Hud connection lost". Then I went to look at the error logs here:
/usr/local/fonality/hud/logs/error.log
and found these errors...all the same:

Relay:2007-01-01 08:45:32> Failed to check configuration files. Reason: Can't call method "reloadUsers" on an undefined value at PERL2EXE_STORAGE/F/Relay.pm line 326.

Then looked at the sever.log (/usr/local/fonality/hud/logs/server.log) and it says this:

2007-01-01 08:22:10: socketError> Could not keep/initiate a connection with the asterisk mananger interface. Client socket encountered read error 0: Normal disconnection.. Is Aserisk running? Is HUD and your Asterisk manager interface configured properly?

2007-01-01 08:22:10: socketError> attempting reconnect to asterisk in 5 seconds
2007-01-01 08:22:40: ircReconnect> IRC reconnect: nick(Relay) pass(password) user(irc2asterisk_relay) ircname(IRC to Asterisk command bot) address(localhost) port(6600) reason(Disconnected)
2007-01-01 08:25:34: RELAY STARTED
2007-01-01 08:25:34: relayStart> IRC connect: nick(Relay) pass(password) user(irc2asterisk_relay) ircname(IRC to Asterisk command bot) address(localhost) port(6600)
2007-01-01 08:25:34: relayStart> Asterisk connect: address(localhost) port(5038)

Can someone shed some light on this please?

Re: Hud worked yesterday..after yum today... Lost connection

After updating my once-working hud to the newest version via yum, it quit working. I fixed it by removing it via yum remove hudlite-server, then re-installing with install-hudlite. Everything works now with the new hudlite client, and all my users were preserved.
