Here are a few quick notes on getting a Pingtel phone to work
This is for a Pingtel Express phone from early 2000
First reset your phone to factory defaults
(from the phone interface)
Press More
Press Prefs
Press More
Press Menu softkey
Select Factory Defaults
Now log into the web interface the default user and pass is
User: admin
Pass:
Now add a line
Preferances -> lines
click edit next to the first line
for the Sip URL: enter sip:
check enable for Allow Forwarding:
check register for Registration:
now click Add Credentials
Realm: asterisk
User ID:
Password:
Now add a SIP server
Administration-> Phone Configuration
in the SIP Servers: section
set
SIP_DIRECTORY_SERVERS
and
SIP_PROXY_SERVERS
to the IP address of your trixbox
That's it you can now use your phone.
