Fonality Selected by Gogo Inc. to Provide Business Communications Solutions

Posted by Fonality Team

Cost savings, improved productivity and ease-of-use cited as deciding factors

Fonality, a pioneer in IP-based business communications solutions for small and mid-size businesses, has been named the communications provider of choice for Gogo Inc., a leader of in-flight connectivity and pioneer of wireless in-flight digital entertainment solutions. Fonality’s hybrid-hosted Unified Communications (UC) solution will support more than 500 users in corporate and contact center operations.
“Gogo Inc. represents an ideal case study for the benefits of our solutions,” said Fonality CEO David Scult. “As a rapidly expanding organization, they require agile tools that can easily scale, without additional overhead. Fonality’s technology brings powerful features at an affordable price point that will continue to evolve with Gogo as they grow. We look forward to supporting them in a long-term partnership."

After thorough due diligence Gogo Inc. selected Fonality after deciding to replace its legacy PBX system from a well-known carrier. It had become too cumbersome and expensive to manage with limited capability to add new users and functionality. Ultimately, Fonality was engaged based on ease of use, flexibility of the hybrid-hosted platform and low total cost of ownership.

“Fonality’s innovative offering with its user friendly applications and management controls has been a welcome resource,” said Diogenes Martinez, manager corporate IT for Gogo Inc. “Our previous legacy telephone system was antiquated, expensive and complex to operate. It simply became unsustainable from a resource and cost perspective to maintain the status quo. Fonality has changed all of that for the better.”

Gogo Inc. will continue to leverage Fonality throughout their domestic enterprise, integrating new UC and contact center capabilities on an ongoing basis.

Visual Alert: Fonality will have an international collaboration between its Dallas HQ and offices in Los Angeles, Australia and the Philippines to commemorate the new Gogo account with a massive paper airplane “launch” from their building tops.
